The verdict

What's good

  • Naturally aspirated V12 revs sky-high
  • Among the last of the big V12s
  • Surprisingly usable for a supercar
  • Howling engine note, no turbos muffling it

What's not

  • Long hood hard to place in corners
  • Power can overwhelm rear in rain
  • Trunk barely fits a weekend bag
  • Low ground clearance on driveways

The engine

6.5L NA V12

6.5L Naturally-Aspirated V12

Ferrari's naturally-aspirated 6.5-liter V12 is one of the last of a dying breed — no turbos, no hybrid filler, just a spine-tingling shriek that climbs toward a 9,000-rpm redline.

The V12 is Ferrari's founding engine; Enzo built his first car around one in 1947, and this 65-degree unit is the direct, naturally-aspirated descendant of that 75-year bloodline.
