The engine

JNC1

Twin-Turbo V6 Hybrid

A bespoke twin-turbo V6 working with electric motors for instant torque-vectoring response and seamless, gapless acceleration; the hybrid system fills turbo lag so power arrives the moment you ask.

Designated JNC1, it was a clean-sheet 75-degree V6 developed by Honda R&D in Tochigi, Japan, exclusively for the second-generation NSX, and hand-assembled at the Anna Engine Plant in Ohio.

Each NSX engine was built by a single master technician at a dedicated room within Honda's Anna, Ohio plant.
It uses a dry-sump lubrication system, a racing-derived feature that lets the engine sit lower in the chassis.
In the final Type S, total system output rose to roughly 600 hp as a send-off for the hybrid supercar.
