A race-bred twin-turbo V6 that trades exotic theater for ruthless, low-inertia boost and relentless straight-line thrust in the second-generation Ford GT.
Part of Ford's EcoBoost family but built on the race-proven 3.5L V6 architecture campaigned in IMSA Daytona Prototype endurance racing before it ever reached the road car.
The #68 Ford GT won the LM GTE-Pro class at the 2016 24 Hours of Le Mans, exactly 50 years after Ford's legendary 1966 overall victory over Ferrari.
The same basic engine had already proven itself winning at Daytona and Sebring in prototype racing.
