A ferociously potent hot-vee twin-turbo V8 with a deep, hard-edged voice and relentless mid-range thrust, transforming a two-and-a-half-ton SUV into something genuinely savage.

Sourced from BMW: the range-topping SV uses the S63, the M division's high-output evolution of BMW's N63 V8, the same engine family found in M5-class performance cars, replacing JLR's own aging supercharged V8.

The N63/S63 family pioneered the 'hot-vee' layout, placing the turbochargers inside the V of the engine rather than outside, for sharper throttle response and a more compact package.
Adopting BMW power means a Range Rover Sport SV now shares its core engine with the Toyota GR Supra, which also uses BMW running gear.
