GM's 'Gemini' DOHC small-block family, U.S.-built; the LT7 starts from the naturally-aspirated LT6 of the Z06 and adds twin turbochargers for the first time in a factory Corvette.

• It produces 1,064 hp, the most power ever from any factory Corvette and the most powerful V8 ever from an American automaker.
• The flat-plane crankshaft is nearly identical to the naturally-aspirated LT6's, and the block casting is shared between the two.
