The engine

A snarling, supercharger-whining HEMI that hammers out a relentless tidal wave of torque, turning a three-row family SUV into a tire-shredding muscle machine.

The supercharged 6.2-liter Hellcat HEMI is named after the WWII Grumman F6F Hellcat fighter and is built at Stellantis's Saltillo engine plant in Mexico.

Each Hellcat engine receives a roughly 42-minute dyno shakedown run before it leaves the factory.
It is fed by a large IHI positive-displacement supercharger of about 2.38 liters.
Internally it relies on a forged-steel crank, powder-forged rods and forged aluminum pistons to survive the boost.
