A member of Hyundai Motor Group's long-running Lambda V6 family, developed in Korea and matured over years before the forced-induction version arrived for the group's heavier luxury Genesis models.

In the G90 flagship the engine pairs with a 48-volt electric supercharger that spins up before the turbos to kill low-rpm lag.
