Twin-Turbo V6

The High Output tune of Ford's twin-turbo V6 trades some efficiency focus for a muscular, torque-rich surge, delivering 440 hp and 510 lb-ft to haul a full-size SUV with surprising urgency.

Part of Ford's EcoBoost family launched in 2009, the 3.5L is built around the Duratec 35 (Cyclone) V6 block and here appears in High Output form in the Expedition Platinum.

The same High Output 3.5L lineage powers the F-150 Raptor, sharing its hardware with one of Ford's most extreme performance trucks.
Ford originally previewed this twin-turbo direct-injection concept under the name TwinForce before it became EcoBoost.
The second-generation 3.5L added port fuel injection alongside the direct injectors to improve low-load running and reduce intake-valve deposits.
