An all-new turbocharged hybrid four that gives the big Palisade strong, electrified low-end shove and noticeably more torque than the old V6, while improving efficiency. It delivers full-size pulling power with a more modern, electrified feel.

Part of Hyundai's Smartstream engine family, with core development and production centered at Hyundai's Ulsan plant in South Korea and additional engine output from its Alabama facility. It debuts as the Palisade's first turbo-hybrid powertrain.

• The 2.5L turbo-hybrid system produces around 329 hp and 339 lb-ft, more torque than the naturally aspirated V6 it joins in the lineup.
• Hybrid Palisades retain a 4,000-lb towing capacity with a dedicated Tow Mode across trims.
• Unusually for a hybrid, it pairs with a conventional torque-converter automatic rather than a CVT.
