The engine

690T

Twin-Turbo V6

A hard-charging twin-turbo V6 tuned to feel linear and progressive, almost like a naturally aspirated engine, with sharp throttle response and a hard-edged, exotic top end.

The 690T was designed for the Quadrifoglio models by engineer Gianluca Pivetti, whom FCA brought over from Ferrari in 2013; it shares its family lineage with Ferrari's F154 twin-turbo V8.

It is essentially a Ferrari-family engine architecture with two cylinders removed, developed by the same Ferrari engineer in Maranello-influenced fashion.
The 690T is used exclusively in Alfa Romeo's Quadrifoglio models, producing around 505 hp.
Its compact aluminum construction lets it sit low and rearward in the chassis, sharpening weight distribution and lowering the center of gravity.
