A torque-rich, direct-injected four that pulls hard from low revs thanks to a broad plateau of peak torque, blending VTEC heritage with modern turbo response.

Part of Honda's K20C VTEC Turbo family, it debuted at Acura in the third-generation RDX in 2019, replacing the brand's long-serving V6.

It shares its core engine family with the high-output unit in the Honda Civic Type R and Integra Type S.
It uses an electrically actuated wastegate to control boost more precisely than a conventional vacuum setup.
A low-inertia mono-scroll turbocharger is packaged to spool quickly for minimal lag off idle.
