  • Clever pre-combustion engine tech, simply quick
  • Communicative, planted at the limit
  • Lightweight carbon construction

What's not

  • Barely any storage on board
  • Hard to see out the back
  • Infotainment underwhelms for a supercar
  • Servicing can mean a wait

The engine

Nettuno

Twin-Turbo V6

A 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 with Formula 1-derived pre-chamber 'twin-spark' combustion, spinning to 8,000 rpm and delivering a hard, metallic top-end rush rather than a lazy turbo shove.

Maserati's first wholly in-house engine in over two decades, designed and built at Modena. Its pre-chamber ignition is lifted straight from F1 power-unit technology — a first for a road-car V6.
