4.0L Naturally Aspirated V12

A screaming, hyper-responsive naturally aspirated V12 that revves with almost motorcycle-like urgency, building to a frenzied top end while still delivering usable torque from low rpm.

Commissioned by Gordon Murray and designed and built by Cosworth specifically for the Gordon Murray Automotive T.50 and T.33; Murray is the engineer behind the legendary McLaren F1.

With a 12,100 rpm redline it is the highest-revving road-car engine ever produced.
At roughly 178 kg it is the lightest supercar V12 ever built, helped by a 13 kg steel crankshaft and titanium connecting rods and valves.
Despite its racing-like character it still delivers about 71 percent of peak torque as low as 2,500 rpm, keeping it tractable on the road.
