Twin-Turbo V6 Plug-in Hybrid

Howling to 8,000 rpm with a shriek Ferrari's own engineers nicknamed the 'piccolo V12', this hot-vee turbo six combines with an electric motor for instant, savage, lag-free thrust.

Codenamed F163, it is Ferrari's first six-cylinder road-car engine since the original Dino of the 1960s, and the 296 name revives the Dino's displacement-and-cylinder naming scheme.

Its 120-degree bank angle lets both turbos nestle inside the vee, cutting size and turbo lag.
A racing version of this V6 powers the Le Mans-winning 499P hypercar, and it also forms the basis of the F80 flagship's engine.
Ferrari deliberately chose not to revive the Dino badge for the 296 despite the six-cylinder heritage.
