Built in Stuttgart-Zuffenhausen, Germany, as part of Porsche's rear-mounted boxer lineage that defines the 911. The 991 Turbo S debuted in 2013 with this 3.8-liter twin-turbo unit.

The 991.1 Turbo S was the first 911 Turbo to offer active aerodynamics and rear-axle steering.
Its launch-control sprint dipped below the three-second 0-100 km/h barrier for the first time in Turbo history.
Variable Turbine Geometry-style boost management lets it pull cleanly from low revs despite large turbochargers.
