This direct-injected turbo four punches well above its size, serving up a broad torque plateau low in the rev range that feels like a much larger engine.

It belongs to Honda's K-series family (engine code K20C), a lineage that also gave rise to the Civic Type R's 2.0L turbo, and has powered the Acura RDX since 2019 and the TLX since 2021.

• The engine uses an electric wastegate and a high-flow mono-scroll turbo, with peak torque arriving from around 1,600 rpm.
• It is paired with Acura's Super Handling All-Wheel Drive, which can torque-vector power across the rear axle to sharpen cornering.
• It shares its core K20C architecture with the Civic Type R's engine, though tuned for refinement rather than that car's track-day ferocity.
