Fury

Twin-Turbo V8

A wailing, top-end-hungry twin-turbo unit that John Hennessey named 'Fury' because, in his words, full throttle made it the most furious engine the company had ever built. Power piles on hard toward a sky-high redline rather than arriving as a low-end shove.

Designed and built in-house by Hennessey in Sealy, Texas, as the bespoke heart of the Venom F5 — a fully American hypercar program meant to chase 300+ mph rather than borrow a donor engine.

Bench-tested at 1,817 hp in standard form, with a later $285,000 'Evolution' package raising output to 2,031 hp on E85 fuel.
The name 'Fury' was coined by Hennessey after dyno runs revealed how violently it spun up at full throttle.
It was engineered specifically around the Venom F5's quest to crack the 300 mph barrier, not adapted from an existing crate motor.
