The engine

1.6L Turbo Hybrid V6 F1

Turbo-Hybrid V6 (F1-derived)

A genuine Formula 1 power unit civilized just enough for the road; it idles lumpily, demands warm-up, and detonates into a screaming 11,000-rpm crescendo unlike anything else on the street.

A road-adapted version of the Mercedes-Benz PU106 hybrid V6 that powered the dominant Lewis Hamilton-era F1 cars, hand-built with High Performance Powertrains in Brixworth for the AMG One.

In F1 trim the same engine idled near 5,000 rpm and revved to 15,000; for the road it was tamed to idle around 1,280 rpm and redline at 11,000.
It combines four electric motors with the V6, including an MGU-H spinning off the turbo to eliminate lag.
Because of its F1 origins the engine needs a costly factory rebuild after roughly 50,000 km.
