A pugnacious, hard-charging little three-cylinder turbo with a gruff thrum and a surprisingly muscular punch, delivering big-engine torque from a tiny package.

Developed by Toyota's Gazoo Racing division as the heart of the GR Yaris, a road-going homologation special born from Toyota's World Rally Championship program.

Toyota billed it as the world's most powerful production three-cylinder engine, making roughly 100 horsepower per cylinder.
At up to 300 PS it produces around 175 hp per litre, making it one of the most power-dense engines Toyota has ever built.
The GR Yaris that houses it was conceived specifically to homologate Toyota's rally efforts, a rare modern echo of the Group B homologation-special era.
