A supercharged V6 with a hard-edged, eager character and a satisfying mechanical supercharger whine, giving the Emira lively, linear power and a manual-gearbox option that enthusiasts prize.

Based on Toyota's famously durable 2GR-FE V6, a unit Lotus has leaned on for over a decade, having used it in the Evora and the V6 Exige before the Emira.

Lotus adds a Roots-type Eaton supercharger plus a custom intake and revised exhaust manifolds to the Toyota base engine.
The same 2GR-FE V6 is famous for its bulletproof reliability, with examples running well past 400,000 miles in Toyota applications.
The Emira V6 marked the end of Lotus's long-running era of Toyota-powered sports cars.
