Two motors deliver instant, hyper-SUV thrust with a sub-3-second 0-60, and the range-topping R adds a rare two-speed gearbox on the rear motor for sharper high-speed acceleration.

Engineered by Lotus at its historic Hethel, UK base on the Electric Premium Architecture co-developed with parent company Geely, and assembled in Wuhan, China.

The Eletre R uses a two-speed rear transmission, a feature almost no rival EV SUV offers.
Its 800-volt architecture supports up to 350 kW DC fast charging, taking the battery from 10 to 80 percent in around 20 minutes.
Its EPA platform is a Lotus-tuned derivative of Geely's modular SEA architecture, shared in spirit with Volvo, Polestar and Zeekr EVs.
