Two axle-mounted permanent-magnet motors deliver instant, balanced all-wheel-drive shove with a hushed, glass-smooth refinement that suits Genesis's luxury mission; in the Electrified G80 they combine for roughly 365 hp and a sub-5-second 0-62 mph sprint.

Built on the Hyundai Motor Group's purpose-designed E-GMP platform shared with Hyundai and Kia, engineered in Korea as the brand's first ground-up electric architecture rather than a converted combustion car.

The platform runs an 800-volt architecture (rare among rivals, including Tesla), enabling roughly 10-80% DC charging in about 18 minutes.
The Electrified G80 can decouple its front motor and run rear-drive-only in cruising to claw back efficiency, re-engaging AWD on demand.
E-GMP cars support Vehicle-to-Load, letting the battery power external devices like an outdoor outlet.
