In rear-drive form a single rear motor delivers smooth, instant torque with a planted rear-biased feel, while Genesis layers in a 'Boost' button and a synthesized cabin soundtrack to give the silent EV a sense of drama.

The GV60 is the first Genesis built on Hyundai Motor Group's dedicated 800-volt E-GMP electric architecture, the same platform underpinning the Hyundai Ioniq 5 and Kia EV6.

• Its 800-volt system can recover a 10-to-80 percent charge in roughly 18 minutes on a 350 kW fast charger.
• The platform supports vehicle-to-load output, letting the car power external devices like an appliance or another EV.
• Higher trims add a 'Boost Mode' button on the wheel that briefly unlocks maximum output for about 10 seconds.
