A hand-built supercharged V8 with a flat-plane... no — a cross-plane crank that hammers out a deep, blown roar and a relentless surge of torque, giving the Dark Horse SC near-supercar thrust.

The Dark Horse SC uses Ford's 5.2-liter supercharged 'Predator' V8, the engine first made famous in the Shelby GT500 and shared with the Mustang GTD supercar and GT3 race program.

Each engine is hand-assembled one-at-a-time by a single technician at Ford's Dearborn Engine Plant.
In Dark Horse SC tune it makes 795 hp — more than the 760 hp Shelby GT500 that originally introduced the Predator.
It was co-developed alongside the Mustang GTD and GT3 racer, with validation testing at Sebring and Virginia International Raceway.
