The engine

Ultium

Dual-Motor Electric AWD

In Type S form the dual-motor all-wheel-drive system makes around 499 hp with instantaneous torque, giving Acura's first EV genuinely brisk, planted acceleration backed by adaptive air suspension and big Brembo brakes.

The ZDX is built on General Motors' Ultium architecture and shares its bones with the Cadillac Lyriq and Honda Prologue, a co-development deal that let Acura reach market quickly while its own EV tech matured.
