The engine

K15C

1.5L I4 Mild Hybrid

A naturally aspirated four-cylinder tuned for smooth, efficient everyday running, its integrated starter-generator adding a gentle torque boost and refined stop-start rather than sporting punch.

A newer member of Suzuki's long-running K-series (introduced 1994), the K15C is a Dualjet-equipped unit developed largely for the Indian market and produced by Maruti Suzuki.

The Dualjet head uses two injectors per cylinder, aimed precisely at the intake valves to atomize fuel better and raise efficiency.
Its mild-hybrid layer is Suzuki's SHVS (Smart Hybrid Vehicle by Suzuki) system, a 12-volt integrated starter-generator setup aimed at markets with tighter emissions rules.
