Twin-Turbo V6

This compact twin-turbo V6 delivers strong, responsive mid-range muscle with a refined edge, giving the Macan GTS and Panamera 4S effortless real-world pace.

A VW Group EA839 engine co-developed by Audi and Porsche and built in Germany, shared across a wide family that includes the Audi RS4, RS5 and SQ5 as well as Porsche's Cayenne and Panamera.

It uses a hot-vee layout with the twin turbochargers nestled inside the V for a more compact package and sharper throttle response.
The 2.9-liter is essentially a higher-boost variant of the group's 3.0-liter EA839, with a shorter stroke and thinner cylinder walls.
The same core engine spans an unusually broad range of Audi and Porsche SUVs and sedans within the VW Group.
