The verdict

What's good

  • Panoramic i-Cockpit display is best-in-class for SUV digital ambience
  • Rear seat comfort with reclining backrests edges past most family SUVs
  • Adaptive LED headlights included from mid-trim versus rivals who charge extra
  • Quiet 48V mild-hybrid cuts stop-start jerk noticeable in city driving

What's not

  • FWD only limits traction in snow — no AWD offered
  • Infotainment gesture control replaces physical knobs, takes adjustment
  • Reliability of the 1.2-litre engine under PHEV loads is a concern
  • Cargo space slightly behind Skoda Karoq and Nissan Qashqai rivals

The engine

PureTech

1.2L Turbo I3 Mild Hybrid

A 136 hp three-cylinder turbo running a Miller-cycle combustion strategy, with a small electric motor in the gearbox filling low-rev torque gaps for seamless, lag-free pull. It can creep and manoeuvre on electric power alone at low speed.

A new generation of Stellantis's award-winning PureTech three-cylinder, specially reworked for hybridisation and introduced on the 3008 and 5008 in 2023. It pairs with a purpose-built electrified six-speed dual-clutch gearbox (e-DCS6).
