EcoBoost

Twin-Turbo V6

A strong, refined twin-turbo six delivering a deep reservoir of low-end torque, giving the Aviator athletic, near-performance-SUV thrust with luxury smoothness.

Part of Ford's EcoBoost family, this 3.0-liter is derived from the 2.7-liter 'Nano' V6 with a larger bore and longer stroke, and first appeared in the 2017 Lincoln Continental before powering the Aviator.

It is bored and stroked out from the 2.7-liter Nano V6 and swaps that engine's compacted-graphite-iron block for cast aluminum.
Once a Lincoln-exclusive, the same engine later powered the 400-hp Ford Explorer ST.
In the Aviator it produces identical output to the Explorer ST's most powerful tune, both rated at 400 horsepower.
