Twin-Turbo V8 Plug-in Hybrid

A hot-vee twin-turbo V8 that hammers out a deep, hard-edged shove, now with an electric motor buried inside the gearbox to fill in the low end and erase turbo lag for an instant, relentless surge.

Built around Lamborghini's familiar 4.0-litre biturbo V8, electrified for the Urus SE in 2024 to make the marque's first plug-in-hybrid super-SUV, developed in Sant'Agata Bolognese.

The electric motor sits inside the 8-speed automatic transmission, so it can either boost the V8 or drive the wheels alone.
On battery alone the SE becomes a fully electric, four-wheel-drive Lamborghini good for over 60 km of silent running.
The hybrid layer actually lifts combined output to 800 PS, more than the pre-hybrid Urus despite the added weight.
