2.0L Turbo Inline-4

A responsive twin-scroll turbo four that delivers a flat, torque-rich curve low in the rev range, giving small SUVs surprisingly muscular off-the-line pull.

Part of Ford's EcoBoost downsizing family launched in 2010; the second-generation twin-scroll 2.0L arrived around 2015 with an all-new block and integrated exhaust manifold.

The second-generation engine shares almost no parts with the original 2.0 EcoBoost, with a new aluminum block and a head with an integrated exhaust manifold.
Its twin-scroll turbo separates exhaust pulses from cylinders 1-and-4 versus 2-and-3 to cut lag and build boost faster.
In the Bronco Sport Badlands it pairs with a twin-clutch rear drive unit that can vector torque for off-road traction.
