The engine

Ecotec (LSY)

2.0L Turbo I4

A turbocharged four tuned more for refinement and efficiency than outright punch, with smooth, tractable midrange power suited to Buick's quiet-luxury brief.

The LSY is part of GM's third-generation Ecotec family and first launched in the 2019 Cadillac XT4 before spreading across GM's North American lineup, including the Envision.

It replaced the older, more performance-oriented LTG 2.0-liter turbo, trading some horsepower for better fuel economy.
It adds Active Fuel Management and stop/start technology that the engine it replaced lacked.
The same LSY engine is shared widely across Cadillac CT4, CT5, XT4, XT5 and XT6 models.
