The engine

M630

Twin-Turbo V6 Hybrid

McLaren's first V6 spins to a heady redline and pairs instant electric torque-fill with twin turbos, erasing lag while delivering a sharper, lighter character than the brand's V8s.

The M630 is an all-new engine designed by McLaren and built by long-time partner Ricardo, debuting in the 2022 Artura as the first V6 in a McLaren road car.

Its 120-degree bank angle is a world first for a production V6, chosen so both turbochargers can nestle in a compact 'hot-vee' between the cylinder banks.
At roughly 160 kg, the V6 is about 50 kg lighter than a comparable McLaren V8, and some of its components are cast using 3D-printed cores.
