Twin-Turbo V8

A ferocious, hard-charging twin-turbo V8 with a distinctly Maserati voice, blending savage thrust with a deeper, more operatic exhaust note than its Ferrari cousins.

Part of Ferrari's F154 engine family, it is designed and hand-assembled at Maranello to Maserati's own specification, sharing DNA with the engine in the Ferrari 488.

Unlike the flat-plane-crank Ferrari versions, the Maserati V8 uses a cross-plane crankshaft and wet-sump lubrication, giving it a different, burlier character and sound.
An overboost function temporarily raises peak torque for stronger in-gear punch.
Maserati received its last F154 from Ferrari in late 2023, marking the end of a decades-long engine partnership between the two Italian marques.
