A compact hot-vee twin-turbo V6 with turbos nestled inside the cylinder banks for quick response, delivering a broad, flexible torque plateau in the Panamera 4S.

Developed by Audi as the EA839 within the Volkswagen Group's shared-engine strategy, the same V6 family that powers the Audi RS4, RS5 and Cayenne.

The identical engine appears in Audi RS models at higher outputs, with the Panamera running comparatively conservative boost.
Its turbochargers sit in the V of the engine (a hot-vee layout) to shorten the path from cylinder to turbine for faster spool.
Within VW Group's engine-sharing plan, Audi leads the V6 program while Porsche develops the group's V8s.
