  • Sharper and more focused than the car it is based on
  • Suspension reacts faster than a driver can think
  • Motorsport aero that actually earns its keep
  • Alonso association gives it real provenance

What's not

  • Costs well over double a Valour for modest gains
  • Stripped cabin gives up everyday civility
  • Stiff setup punishes imperfect surfaces
  • Tiny run makes independent valuation guesswork

Twin-Turbo V12

Aston Martin's 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 trades the old atmospheric scream for deep, effortless shove, but keeps the twelve-cylinder smoothness that defines the marque. In these limited cars it is bolted to a manual gearbox, which almost nobody else still does.

Developed in-house at Gaydon to replace the long-serving 6.0-litre naturally aspirated V12, it downsized and turbocharged the format to meet emissions rules without giving up the cylinder count.
