Twin-Turbo V6

A high-revving, hard-charging biturbo six with the relentless surge that has become an RS hallmark, sending its punch to all four wheels through quattro.

Co-developed by Audi and Porsche under the EA839 family, with Audi leading the V6 program; it is built around a 90-degree block and shared across the Audi RS4/RS5 and Porsche Panamera.

The turbochargers sit inside the V of the engine in a 'hot-vee' layout, shortening exhaust paths for faster boost and quicker catalyst light-off.
The Audi-Porsche tie-up echoes Audi's very first RS car, the RS2 Avant, which Porsche helped engineer.
The same core engine appears as a single-turbo 3.0-liter in other VW Group models.
