A creamy, effortlessly muscular twin-turbo V6 that serves up a broad, flat plateau of torque from just off idle, giving the G70 relaxed yet seriously rapid real-world pace.

This is the G6DP, the direct-injected twin-turbo flagship of Hyundai's all-aluminum Lambda II V6 family; it debuted in the 2016 Genesis G80 before going on to define the Kia Stinger and Genesis G70.

The Lambda family is built in Asan, South Korea, and was for a time also produced at Hyundai's Montgomery, Alabama plant in the US.
Peak torque arrives as low as 1,300 rpm and holds all the way to 4,500 rpm, giving the engine its signature elastic, big-displacement feel.
The same twin-turbo V6 served as the performance heart of the Kia Stinger GT, Genesis G70, G80 and G90, anchoring the group's first serious rear-drive performance push.
