1.6L Turbo I4 Plug-In Hybrid

A turbocharged 1.6 petrol four paired with an electric motor in the gearbox, giving smooth, torque-rich progress and meaningful electric-only commuting before the engine wakes. It prioritises quiet, effortless family-car flexibility over sportiness.

Built by Stellantis (formerly Groupe PSA) around the EMP2 modular platform, which was engineered from the outset to take pure-petrol, mild-hybrid and plug-in hybrid forms. The latest generation 195 e-DCS7 powertrain premiered on the new 3008 and 5008.

The PHEV system is exclusive to EMP2-platform cars, the same architecture used across the 308, 3008 and 508 ranges.
The newest version carries a roughly 21 kWh battery for up to about 52 miles of WLTP electric range, with the e-motor integrated into the dual-clutch gearbox.
The combustion side is a turbocharged four-cylinder PureTech, distinct from the brand's better-known three-cylinder PureTech engines.
