1.2L Turbo I3 48V Hybrid

The familiar PureTech triple gains a 48V electric boost that fills in low-rev torque and allows short bursts of silent electric-only crawl in town, smoothing the engine's character while cutting fuel use.

Peugeot's 48V hybrid system from Stellantis, mating the EB-family 1.2 PureTech to a bespoke e-DSC6 six-speed dual-clutch gearbox that integrates the electric motor, inverter and controller into the transmission housing.

• The roughly 28 hp electric motor lives inside the e-DSC6 gearbox casing, and the small 48V battery is tucked beneath the front passenger seat.
• Unlike a basic mild hybrid, it can drive on electric power alone at low urban speeds (under roughly 18 mph / 30 km/h).
• It is offered in two outputs, around 110 hp and 145 hp, both built on the same engine-plus-motor architecture.
