A refined, free-revving naturally aspirated V6 that delivers its power smoothly across the band, favoring effortless luxury cruising over outright aggression.

A clean-sheet member of GM's fourth-generation high-feature DOHC V6 family, first launched in the 2016 Cadillac ATS, CTS and CT6 and built by General Motors.

The LGX shares almost nothing with the older LFX V6 it replaced despite the identical displacement.
It uses Active Fuel Management cylinder deactivation, shutting down cylinders under light load to save fuel.
GM credits its efficiency tech with up to a 9 percent fuel-economy gain over its predecessor.
