Dual-Motor Electric (quattro)

In the e-tron GT the twin-motor setup delivers savage, repeatable acceleration with a temporary boost mode, while the e-tron SUVs trade outright drama for serene, surefooted quattro grip.

The e-tron GT and RS e-tron GT are built on the 800V J1 platform co-developed with Porsche and shared with the Taycan, while the Q4/Q8 e-tron use Volkswagen Group EV platforms.

The e-tron GT's rear axle uses a two-speed transmission, a rarity among EVs, to balance fierce launches with efficient cruising.
Its 800V architecture allows DC fast-charging at up to around 270 kW.
The GT shares its Performance battery and core hardware with the Porsche Taycan, but Audi gives it distinct styling and a softer GT-flavoured tune.
