B48

2.0L Turbo Inline-4

A lighter, more eager turbo four that trims roughly 100 kg off the nose, sharpening the Supra's balance and agility at the cost of the six's outright muscle.

It is BMW's B48 four-cylinder, a modular sibling of the B58 six, fitted to the Supra built by Magna Steyr in Graz, Austria.

The B48 shares core technology with the B58 six, including a twin-scroll turbo, direct injection and variable timing on both camshafts.
Choosing the four-cylinder cuts about 100 kg of weight over the nose, which noticeably improves handling balance.
Toyota initially sold the 2.0 Supra in Japan, Asia and Europe before bringing it to the US for the 2021 model year.
