The EA825 V8 was developed under Porsche's leadership within the Volkswagen Group and is built in Zuffenhausen, shared across the Cayenne, Audi RS6, Bentley, and Lamborghini Urus.

Its turbochargers sit inside the vee of the engine, a hot-vee layout that cuts lag and speeds catalyst warm-up.
In the Panamera Turbo S E-Hybrid it set a Nürburgring lap record for combustion-engine luxury sedans.
Though shared across VW Group brands, the EA825 was engineered at Porsche while the related EA824 was led by Audi.
