Built on the same Stellantis Giorgio-derived architecture as the combustion Grecale at Maserati's Cassino plant in Italy; Folgore (Italian for 'lightning') is the marque's electric sub-brand, first seen on the GranTurismo Folgore.

Folgore means 'lightning' in Italian and marks every battery-electric Maserati to distinguish it from combustion cars.
Maserati has committed to going fully electric across its lineup, making models like this Grecale central to that transition.
Unusually for a 2020s performance EV, it runs a 400-volt rather than 800-volt electrical architecture.
