Twin permanent-magnet motors give the Polestar 4 sharp, low-slung sports-sedan urgency, and a clutch that can disconnect the front motor lets it coast as an efficient rear-driver when full grip isn't needed.

Built by Geely in Hangzhou Bay, China, on the group's Sustainable Experience Architecture (SEA) skateboard platform shared with the Zeekr 001 and Volvo EX30, under the Volvo-spun, Geely-owned Polestar brand.

• The Polestar 4 deletes the rear window entirely, replacing the driver's rearward view with a roof-mounted camera feeding a digital mirror.
• Its battery is a CATL cell-to-pack design that bonds cells directly into the structure, skipping the traditional module layer to save weight and space.
• The single-motor version drives the rear wheels only, an uncommon layout that lends the base car a rear-drive character.
