A supercharged pushrod V8 with a hard-edged whine and instant, relentless boosted thrust — 650 hp and 650 lb-ft delivered with brutal immediacy off idle.

GM's LT4, part of the Gen-V small-block family, made its debut in the 2015 Corvette C7 Z06 before powering the Cadillac CTS-V and the sixth-generation Camaro ZL1 from 2017.

It breathes through a compact 1.7-liter Eaton R1740 supercharger tucked into the engine valley, keeping the package small enough to fit under a Camaro hood.
It combines old-school overhead-valve, two-valve simplicity with modern direct injection.
In the ZL1 it launches the car from 0–60 mph in about 3.5 seconds.
GM built the final examples of this supercharged small-block as the Camaro line wound down, closing a chapter of the storied small-block lineage.
