The engine

Twin-Turbo V6

A snarling, fast-revving twin-turbo V6 with an addictive top-end and razor throttle response, the beating heart that relaunched Alfa Romeo's performance credibility.

Developed in Modena by a team led by ex-Ferrari engineer Gianluca Pivetti and built at Alfa's Termoli plant; closely related to Ferrari's F154 V8 family, sharing its bore and stroke.

It is essentially Ferrari's twin-turbo V8 minus two cylinders, reworked into a clean-sheet 90-degree V6 by the same lead engineer.
Its crankshaft uses three crankpins 120 degrees apart, each carrying two side-by-side connecting rods.
The 90-degree bank angle lowers the engine's center of gravity, aiding the Quadrifoglio's handling balance.
