Twin-Turbo V6

A boosted six engineered to out-torque the old V8 it replaced, delivering a deep, immediate low-end surge rather than the lazy V8 rumble Tundra buyers grew up with.

Internally the V35A-FTS, it debuted in 2017 in the fifth-generation Lexus LS 500 as the first turbocharged V-engine in Toyota's history, then spread across the Tundra, Land Cruiser, Lexus LX and GX under the i-FORCE name.

Its 3,444 cc displacement is why it's badged as a 3.4-liter even though it's commonly grouped with Toyota's 3.5-liter V6 family.
It was designed expressly to replace Toyota's long-serving 5.7-liter and 3UR V8s with more torque and better emissions.
It shares core engineering DNA with the A25A and M20A four-cylinders, scaled up into a turbocharged six.
