Naturally Aspirated V8

A torque-rich, naturally aspirated V8 engineered to deliver sustained pulling power and survive enormous thermal and mechanical stress over hundreds of thousands of miles.

Nissan's American-market V8, derived from the VQ V6 and built in Decherd, Tennessee; it powered the Titan pickup and Armada SUV from the mid-2000s.

Its durability-first design made it good enough for racing: the VK56 was chosen as the spec engine for LMP3 prototypes at Le Mans during the 2020-2024 rules cycle.
Nissan ended its long-running V8 with the final Titan, switching the next-generation Armada and Patrol to a twin-turbo V6.
Tuners have extracted over 2,000 horsepower from the architecture, far beyond its workhorse design brief.
